The Devon Pension Fund now participates in the Local Pension Partnership Investments (LPPI).LPPI are responsible for implementing the Devon Fund’s investment strategy, as part of the Government’s investment pooling regulations for the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).LPPI is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
The Devon Fund joined LPPI following the Government’s decision that our previous pool company, the Brunel Pension Partnership, should be disbanded. LPPI now bring together the assets of nine LGPS funds – Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, The Environment Agency, Lancashire, the London Pension Fund Authority and Somerset.
The Devon Fund remains responsible for setting the Investment Strategy and deciding on how much should be allocated to each asset class (strategic asset allocation) but LPPI then selects and manages the individual investments to meet that strategy. LPPI remain accountable to the Devon Fund for the investment perfomance of the assets they manage.
